| Growing Tips |
Alkali Sacaton is a perennial bunchgrass that reaches 3 ft. in height and 1 ft. in diameter. The inflorescence is reddish to purplish in color and an open form. This grass is adapted to most soil types and can be very drought tolerant but really thrives when it receives moisture. The plant prefers acid, neutral and basic (alkaline) soils and can grow in saline soil. It cannot grow in the shade. |
